14 Ways to Make Money Online

1. Get Paid to Take Surveys

Do you like taking surveys? Some companies will pay people like you to take surveys so that they can gather valuable consumer and user information. It may not be the most interesting way to make a few dollars, but you can find websites that offer cash for your opinions.

2. Create an Informational Blog

This may be the most interesting and profitable method on the entire list, but there is much knowledge that you will need to possess, such as: how to purchase a web site, how to use WordPress, what subject to choose for your writing, how to target your audience, how to get your blog seen by enough people to make the project worth while, how to advertise, where to find products to sell, and on and on.

In other words, you are probably going to need some training by an expert in the field, but where does one find such help? Well, unless you have years to spend learning all of the ‘ins and outs’ of the business, you are going to need to pay for some training. The best trainer that I have found is Omar Martin and he has a wonderful program that is very affordable and extremely instructive.

3. Sell Your Merchandise on eBay or a Someone Like Them.

The incredible growth and success of eBay has given inspiration to many competitors featuring auctions or online marketplaces for all kinds of items. Whether you want to clean out your closet and sell your used designer clothing online, or develop a high-volume online store, you can make extra money or large incomes on these sites.

4. Sell Your Dated Electronics

Do you have a computer, laptop, printer or cell phone you no longer use? These and other older tech items, even though they were built with former generation features, often have value to others.

5. List Household Items on Craigslist or local sites that offer similar features.

They are usually free to join and do not normally charge listing or selling fees. Craigslist sales can be local or national. From lawn equipment to baby clothes to jobs, you can list almost anything for sale on this site.

6. Publish Your Own Kindle Digital Books

If you love to write and are pretty sure that you can write an entertaining fiction or non-fiction book, consider authoring and publishing a digital book through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform.

7. Create Niche (special interest) Websites Featuring Google AdSense Ads

Creating popular niche sites can grab visitors looking for specialized information, and adding Google AdSense advertising links can be a great way to monetize the site.

8. Amazon Associates

Amazon has an Associates program for site owners and bloggers. They offer a search tool to find the right products and services from their site and a variety of ad styles to display on your site, including text-based and banner images (digital billboards).

Each item purchased through your Amazon links give you a commission. It doesn’t take high volume traffic to achieve results, either. I began making money with the program when I only had 1,000 hits per month on my site. They can apply your earnings to your Amazon account balance, issue you a check, or direct deposit into your bank account. If you love Amazon, you’ll love their associate’s program.

9. Sell Your Time and Skills

A site such as Fiverr promotes members’ specialized talents in many different skill sets and connects them to people looking to pay for those abilities. For example, should you be a graphic design guru, you might find freelance projects you can complete for a fee.

10. Sell Your Knowledge Through Your Blog

Do you have serious expertise about a specific hobby or any other subject? You could create a website that offers your expertise to others for a fee, like charging for a music lesson over Skype or collecting a fee for access to a series of video lessons on computer repair. You can make extra income or become very successful with this method of making money online.

11. Promote Businesses, Products and Services Through Affiliate Programs

If you have a website or blog site, you can make money through affiliations with other businesses and sites, which will pay a percentage of sales you generate for the affiliate company. JVZoo is one that I am using, making commissions by referring people to products made by others.

12. Buy Items Locally and Resell Them Online

Another great way to make money is to find things in your area that are free or cheap and then sell them online. Many people hunt through local thrift stores for rare collectibles, vintage styles or cheap-as-dirt books or media to mark up and resell online.

13. Design Websites for a Fee

If you have an interest or skill in web design, there is a big demand for people to build winning sites for businesses and other organizations. Sites like eLance.com are a good place to start to find clients and build your portfolio.

14. Offer Yourself for Online Tutoring

Sites like Tutor.com and TutorVista.com will help you connect with people looking for help in learning a subject, and you might be in especially high demand if you’re good with math, science or a foreign language. You have to go through an application process to be approved and then you can start getting paid.
